Versailles parquet. Boiseries. The chandelier above the fireplace.

French European is the rarest direction we build — and the most refined. We work with classical European-trained craftsmen to install Versailles oak parquet, hand-paint boiseries with gilded ornament, source antique Louis XV limestone mantels, and hang real crystal chandeliers. The result is a Parisian salon transplanted: dove-gray walls, ivory silk upholstery, marble busts, antique gilt-framed mirrors. Quiet, classical, and impossibly elegant.

Considerations

Questions, Answered

We work with dealers in Paris, the Sablon in Brussels, and several long-standing partners in the Hudson Valley. For new commissions we use 18th-century-trained French craftsmen who hand-carve replicas indistinguishable from period work.
Moderate. Real boiseries are sealed and only need periodic touch-up. Crystal chandeliers need annual hand-cleaning. Silk upholstery is sensitive to direct sun; we plan window treatments accordingly.
Only if the proportions are too small or the antiques are too prominent. Done at the right scale — generous rooms, restrained antique placement, modern lighting hidden inside the period vocabulary — it reads as serenely classical, not museum-like.
